This is a powerful conversation filled with poetry and insight into understanding the body. If you are someone that wants to feel more embodied and safer in your movement expression this episode is for you!
🌕🌙 A pilgrimage into the womb of the cave of Mary Magdeline. 🌕🌙
The journey to Mary Magdalene’s cave is one I have longed to do for a number of years and finally two days ago I was there.
It was profound to say the least and an experience I am still digesting but feel called to share…

What is Eco-Somatics?
You may have heard of this term before, or maybe not.
It’s essentially the practice of feeling your body as a part of the wider web of life. We use movement and embodiment practices to have a felt experience of the connection we have to the earth/nature.
Eco somatics allows us to feel and remember how our bodies are made of stars, atoms and particles from the universe. Our fascia works in the same way as the mycelium networks. The rivers that run through the land, are the same as the rivers that run through our veins. Our lungs exchange air with the outside environment - there is no separation.
It’s a beautiful experience to remember your body as part of the earths ecosystem, rather than seperate to it.
Perhaps a practice you can do to start to bring awareness to this connection - When you are next in a body of water, like a river or ocean, take a moment to close your eyes. Visualise the water that is running past your body, is also running through your body. Like it’s a continuous stream of fluid that is being exchanged.
