🌕🌙 A pilgrimage into the womb of the cave of Mary Magdeline. 🌕🌙

The journey to Mary Magdalene’s cave is one I have longed to do for a number of years and finally two days ago I was there.

It was profound to say the least and an experience I am still digesting but feel called to share.

Mary Madeline is known in the Bible as Jesus’s first disciple, although that has been questioned as she is a women and therefore surely not, as the church has done its best in the past to create belief structures where women are diminished. She has also been branded by the church as being a prostitute. And yet amongst all this, she is indeed in the Bible and in paintings of the Last Super. It is also stated she was the first person to see Jesus after his resurrection and was at his cruxifixction.

In other unorthodox research I have done she was known to be Jesus partner in sacred union and comes from a long line of priestesses herself.

A powerful teacher and healer in her own right.

Her gospel was discovered in the late-nineteenth century somewhere near Akhmim in upper Egypt, written in Greek. It was purchased in Cairo in 1896 by a German scholar, Dr. Carl Reinhardt, and then taken to Berlin. She was clearly intelligent, educated and no doubt came from a family with wealth, to be able to write her wisdom. My research has also linked the poem the Thunder perfect mind to Mary as being the author, but main stream research claims its unknown who wrote it.

It is said Mary fled to this area in the south of France after Jesus was crucified with Mother Mary, Martha, Lazarus, and an Egyptian servant named Sarah and are said to have landed at Saintes Maries-de-la-Mer, now named for the arrival of the “holy Marys from the sea.”

Somehow she made her way to this cave and lived there for 30 years as a hermit living in prayer supposedly being looked after by a few trusted villagers.

Located in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France the area is stunning. From the car park it is about a 30 min hike to the entrance of the cave. As you get closer and begin to ascend the stairs carved into the side of the cliff you are asked to enter in silence through the signs on the side of the the rock.

The cave is large, beautiful, moist and full of potency, like a womb. And the Dominican Friers who have looked after this cave for 1500 years or so have built a beautiful entrance and placed gorgeous stain glass windows there. It’s a balance of the wild raw feminine with curated straight lines of the masculine. I could feel her presence as soon as I walked in and had full body shivers, tears and a massive heart opening. I spent most of the 2.5 hours meditating, praying and what I felt was communing directly with Mary.

Here in this cave I felt the divine feminine vibration of Mary alive and well. An energetic thread that has woven reality for over 2000 years, yes in the background and yes mysteriously almost hidden. But that is the nature of feminine, mysterious, out of sight and yet birthing the un- manifest into reality.

I am guided to some stairs that take me to behind the altar of Jesus on the cross and there carved in to the rock is Mary lying on her side, hair flowing looking relaxed and in her divine feminine ease. I am reminded of the saying, behind every good man is a good woman. I take off my shoes and sit on the bench crossing my legs and closing my eyes.

And then it begins, the communing. As I share this I do not wish to offend anybody who is Christian I am just sharing my experience and my interpretation. Which i am well aware will be flavoured through my Sarsha lens of reality. 🌙🌕

I am shown that the weaving of THIER wisdom has created an energetic field on this planet that has lasted over 2000 years. One in its purest form beyond the dogma is teachings of love, compassion and forgiveness and an understanding of the non dual nature of reality. That indeed there was great love between them and they often traveled and shared their wisdom beside one another.

I was also shown that of course they knew what was going to happen not just with Jesus’s crucifixion but with the dogma that would come after and perhaps even of the witch hunts. The killing in the name of religion which goes against Jesus’s and Mary’s teachings themselves.

Ultimately what I got shown beyond the stories, guessing and hearsay is the feminine current is alive and well. In this cave were natural sacred wells what felt to me like symbolism of amniotic fluid that all life comes from, hidden pathways and gem stones in the walls and a deep air of mystery. I went with four fellow pilgrims and we each received individual messages.

After spending decades feeling frustrated and angry with the patriarchy, I realised the feminine has been here all along, alive and well. Yes hidden but in plain sight, through symbology and pulsating vibration, cloaked in mystery she is woven through it all, just as she does. Everything is perfect, whole, divine and exactly as it is meant to be.

As I walked out of the cave I realised the tears were a release of this deep resentment I had carried probably for life times and I felt so much more content, lighter and touched by the divine demons hand of grace.

After the visit to the grotto I was ready to find the cave of the eggs and visit her grave which is in a different location. More on that later. 🌙🌕❤️
