Femke Burger
Femke has been journeying through the embodiment landscape for many years. Her most recent expression of this is as a Somatic Dance Facilitator and DJ. She is a founding member of the Auckland Somatic Dance Collective, who frequently offer dances in Mt Eden. She has completed Somatic Dance Level 1 and Alchemy Awakened (50hrs of Level 3). These have alchemised a lifelong obsession with music into a passion for all things DJ-related. She regularly curates the soundscapes for Somatic Dances, as well as DJ’ing at festivals and friend’s gatherings.
She has a deep love and passion for traditional, lineage-based tantric teachings and practices, having completed her Yoga Teacher Training within a Traditional Tantric Hatha lineage. Whilst she has largely moved away from physical asana-based daily practice, these teachings and practices continue to provide the scaffolding for her life. Having first discovered freeform movement practices over 5 years ago – she has experienced the immense power of these in her own healing journey, and now has the absolute honour of witnessing their capacity to shake things up, provide clarity and ultimately lead to a life lived more authentically, grounded in trust, truth and the divine.
A dance floor activator and sacred container creator; she invites others into a fuller, more authentic expression of themselves. Her desire is to support and inspire you into a deeper knowing of yourself as the radiant being that you are.
"Stop acting so small. You are the universe in ecstatic motion.”
